World Space Week 4 to 10 October


On December 6, 1999, The United Nations General Assembly declared that from 4 October to 10 October was International World Space Week. 

The choice of dates was very significant.

Sputnik 1, the first human-made Earth satellite was launched on October 4, 1957.

The Outer Space Treaty was signed on October 10, 1967.
